KAREN KANDEL is the recipient of a 1997 Obie Award and Theater World Award for Peter and Wendy, an adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s novel (New Victory Theater, NY). She also received an Obie for her portrayal of Edgar in the Mabou Mines gender-reversed Lear. Karen participated in developmental workshops for Anna Deavere Smith’s House Arrest.
